Saúl Luciano Lliuya am Eingang des Cojup-Flusstals, das vom Palcacocha-See abfließt. Im Hintergrund der Pucaranra-Gletscher, der den Palcacocha-See speist. // Der Palcacocha-See ist aufgrund des Gletscherrückgangs stark angestiegen droht die 150.000-Einwohner-Stadt am Fuße des Cojup-Tals zu überfluten. Im Jahr 1941 verursachte Palcacocha bereits eine gewaltige Flutwelle, die ein Drittel von Huaraz zerstörte.
