Germanwatch, together with hydrogen industry actors and other environmental and climate organizations from Brussels and Berlin, has sent an open letter to the EU Commission calling for:
- The revision of the RFNBO rules must be evidence-based and carried out after a sufficient trial period.
- All relevant drivers for high production costs and the delayed market ramp-up must be considered.
- Early adjustments, such as extending transition periods, must be accompanied by a consideration of alternative measures and an impact assessment for ongoing projects.
