Climate litigation is emerging as an increasingly successful strategy to hold governments and corporations accountable. This session will profile three iconic cases challenging the lack of accountability of governments and the fossil fuel industry for the climate crisis: the Huaraz vs RWE case in Germany, the Shell case in the Netherlands and the Paid to Pollute case in the UK.
