Understanding Underground Cables

RGI Cable workshop

The Renewables-Grid-Initiative (RGI) organises the workshop “Understanding Underground Cables” on 13 and 14 February in Spreitenbach (near Zurich), Switzerland. It is kindly hosted by the Swiss TSO Swissgrid.

The 1,5-day Cable Workshop will cover the most important questions about undergrounding highest voltage lines including: state-of-the-art technology, environmental impacts, costs and various regulatory approaches in Europe. The agenda contains input presentations from politics, academia, and NGOs as well as case studies from different European countries. On the second day, key questions will be discussed in two working groups and on a panel.
