Presentation of Global Climate Risk Index 2014

-
 | National Stadium, Warsaw
Room: Press Conference 2, Level -2/Zone E6, right next to Plenary 2

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

overshadowed by the ongoing human catastrophe in the Philippines, Germanwatch will present the 9th annual Global Climate Risk Index (CRI) at the onset of the Climate Summit in Warsaw, which takes place 11th to 22nd November. The ranking indicates which countries are especially affected by extreme weather events. Germanwatch ranks these countries based on the data provided by the NatCatSERVICE database at MunichRe.

This year’s analysis will focus on floodings, storms and other extreme weather events in 2012. In addition, the CRI will look at countries severely hit during the past twenty years. These findings are also tied to the climate summit's agenda in Warsaw: Delegates will discuss short- and longterm climate protection, as well as advancing the international response to climate change impacts.

We cordially invite you to our press conference:

Room: Press Conference 2, Level -2/Zone E6, right next to Plenary 2
