G7: What happened in Elmau and what's next

Erste Seite des Briefings

The German government planned on making climate and sustainability the main topics of its G7 presidency. While Germany has emphasised its focus on climate several times, food and energy crises were clearly the centre of attention of this year’s G7 Summit in June. Hence, only little progress was made on the climate and energy agenda. In this briefing, we outline what the G7 Leaders’ Summit was able to achieve, which gaps remained, and where to go from there.
