Germanwatch International Conference on 2nd June 2014

The world stands at a crossroad. Recent sciences, including the latest IPCC assessment report, shows that uncurbed climate change is likely to have disruptive impacts on food production, population pressure and development potentials of future generations. The conference will highlight these consequences for development (the problem), consider existing and emerging examples of action on the ground that promotes development, while adapting to climate change and reducing emissions (the practice) and discuss the policy frameworks needed to scale up these practices and set the world on a pathway to low-carbon climate-resilient development (the policy).
